Exit Art Gallery: The Labyrinth Wall

Exit Art will be re-configured into a maze constructed of fifty, 8 x 8 foot panels. Each artist will be given one wall on which to respond to the metaphor of the labyrinth and offer instructions on how to escape the issues we are confronted with. The labyrinth serves as a metaphor for the vexing problems that America, under a hopeful new presidential administration, must now navigate.

Gallery info:

So an idea inspired by Edwin (thank you Edwin) was that we should post up some cool gallery shows that are going on right now. In any event if you get the chance to or need some inspiration these are some cool places you might like to check out:

So the original Babar the elephant drawings and watercolors are on display and it was pretty kick ass.    http://www.themorgan.org/

Another spot I really like is the society of Illustrators It's located on e 63rd street between park and 2nd :http://www.societyillustrators.org/

So yes... more stuff to come... but for now take care!

Gallery News from Lauryn! :D

Hey everyone! I hope you are all doing well, hopefully blogging with make it a bit easier for all of us to keep in touch. All the websites (myspaces and stuff too) look great! Awesome work everyone!

So as far as gallery stuff is concerned I haven't had the chance to go anywhere physically so in the mean time I've been surfing the web to see if there is anyplace that looks cool. I found a few websites that look pretty cool.

As far as location is concerned I've only looked on-line for things in Manhattan, but I've also heard some good things about different areas in Brooklyn too. Well anyway check out the websites and everyone ... feedback Por Favor!!!
